Off-the-shelf, the Advancing Skimmer System comes in two sizes, MiniBagger and MaxiBagger. MaxiBagger is the bigger of the two detachable oil collectors in DESMI’s product line. The DESMI MaxiBagger enables the conversion of practically any vessel into an oil spill response boat at reasonable costs without major investments in machinery or equipment.
Utilizing the patented brush-comb solution, the DESMI MaxiBagger collects both heavy and light oils extremely efficiently, even diesel. The robust floating sweeping arm made of aluminum ensures the DESMI MaxiBagger’s functionality on rough sea.
High-quality oil collecting brushes tolerate heavy use in extreme temperatures from -50oC to +160oC. The high-quality bristles are easy to maintain and can be cleaned fast and easily with hot steam at up to +160oC.
